Applying AI to business ideas, content, and SEO
I drew on my SEO and digital marketing experience to design online classes and workshops, helping business owners start using AI for practical tasks, with supporting material and feedback to inform further learning.

Designing learning around business owners' work
I ran online classes and workshops for owners from more than ten businesses across different industries. The teaching drew on my experience in SEO and digital marketing, alongside opportunities to use AI for tasks entrepreneurs already encounter.
My question was how to help people unfamiliar with AI start applying it to their own businesses. I chose approachable subjects: developing business ideas, finding Content Marketing topics, and connecting content with SEO.
The recorded class, Create Content Map & Link Building with SEO x AI, is an example of turning specialist knowledge into material that business owners could begin learning and trying for themselves.
Turning AI possibilities into ideas to work with
I wanted entrepreneurs to see how AI could help them think and develop their work. Business needs came first, with tools used to expand the options.
The material ranged from business ideas to topics related to what a company does. For content, I connected this with Content Maps and Internal Links, showing how topics relate and how they could develop into website content.
Making the starting point approachable is a teaching decision. Learners need to see how a subject relates to their work and what they can try next, before moving into deeper detail according to their business needs.
Material to revisit after the class
I created a free E-book for participants to revisit after the session. A replay was provided for review after the session. Replay access has now expired.
Sharing knowledge includes both the time spent learning together and the time when participants return to their own work. Supporting material extends the learning beyond the live session.
Feedback on what to learn next
Participants told me that the material was useful and that they wanted to join future sessions. The responses I kept also show how further learning interests differed according to business type and professional role.
These included Local SEO for physical stores, SEO for B2B and D2C businesses, understanding Search Intent when choosing Keywords, reading Looker Studio data, and adapting as more people turn to AI for answers.
The responses show a desire for knowledge connected with participants' own situations. Their interest in future sessions provides useful direction for deciding which subjects to explore further and which business problems to use as examples.
My experience as an instructor
This work is part of how I share digital knowledge with business owners: selecting problems, organising material, producing supporting resources, and explaining ideas so people can begin applying them.
I care about the relationship between what I teach and the learner's work. Understanding a tool is one part; seeing how it fits their own goals and context is what allows that knowledge to go further.
Teaching as part of developing expertise
Business owners bring different questions to the same subject: local customers, business-to-business communication or a website’s content structure. My role as an instructor is to make the connection between specialist knowledge and the learner’s own work understandable.
This experience therefore develops learning design and communication alongside my SEO and digital marketing practice. The recorded feedback provides context for deciding what needs further explanation and how future teaching can relate to the needs learners describe.
