START IT NOW — Chula Tech Startup

Attended Chula Tech Startup’s talk on starting and taking action, with perspectives from different fields, on 14 November 2019 at Siam Square One.

Chula Tech Startup

Open original

On 14 November 2019, I attended Chula Tech Startup’s START IT NOW at KBank Siam Pic-Ganesha Theatre, Siam Square One. The programme approached starting through business, education, technology and writing—different paths with different kinds of uncertainty.

Five speakers, five starting points

  • Maneerat Anulomsombut (Nok), Sea Thailand CEO: trying something unfamiliar.
  • Rungsun Promprasith (Joh), QueQ CEO: moving beyond familiar routines.
  • Chayatat Vongmanee (Toffy Bradshaw), THE STANDARD columnist: committing to personal interests.
  • Sorawit Paiboonsrattanakorn (Giraffe), Saturday School founder and CEO: reconsidering assumptions and perspective.
  • Ruangroj Poonpol (Krating), KBTG chairman and 500 TukTuks managing partner: choosing a personal direction.

Roles refer to the 2019 event listing.

What this adds to my journey

Hearing these perspectives together offers a useful comparison: founding a company, building an educational initiative and developing a writing career require different decisions. Starting can mean making a small experiment, investing time in learning or reconsidering the problem before deciding what to build.

For my own path across business and practical projects, this is part of learning from people who have taken those steps. It adds perspectives on turning an interest into sustained work, rather than treating entrepreneurship as one fixed career template. My photographs and the poster preserve the setting and people behind that learning experience.
