Parit Ritchai · Founder, SE Ocean

When the familiar explanation is no longer helping.

Parit works on recurring problems that cross functions or resist a shared explanation. Her starting point is to examine the question before committing to an answer.

The person working through it with you

Founder involvement is part of the engagement.

At this stage of SE Ocean, Parit personally leads the problem framing, reviews the evidence and takes responsibility for the quality of the recommendation. You work with the person accountable for the reasoning.

Her public work returns to recurring problems whose familiar explanations do not lead to useful change. In unfamiliar contexts, she starts with constraints, evidence and testable questions, then identifies where specialist expertise is needed.

SE Ocean turns that judgment into documented findings, decision records, tools and review methods that people can use and maintain. The work should become usable beyond a conversation with the Founder.

Working with uncertainty

You can begin without knowing everything. You must know what is still unproven.

  1. Separate observation, stakeholder accounts and hypotheses so confidence is not mistaken for evidence.
  2. Identify constraints, controllable decisions and the cost of being wrong. Choose questions that reduce the uncertainty that matters.
  3. Use operational knowledge and specialist expertise where necessary. Do not claim mastery of every industry.
  4. Record the reasoning, limitations and conditions that would change the conclusion so the work can be examined and revised.

How she thinks

Judgment should come with reasons.

Opinion is not automatically fact.

Compare accounts with records and actual work. Keep competing explanations visible until the evidence can distinguish them.

A symptom is not automatically the cause.

Slow decisions may point to unclear authority, missing information or risk. Examine before prescribing training or restructuring.

Automation is not automatically improvement.

A faster broken workflow can create more errors. Check the work, exceptions and ownership before choosing the tool.

More measurement is not automatically more clarity.

Ask which decision a metric supports, what it misses and whether it matches the work people actually do.

Changing people does not necessarily change the system.

Inspect the conditions that shape behaviour. A new hire may inherit the same constraints as the person they replace.

Selected applied work & public thinking

Look at the work, not just the introduction.

Applied cases show decisions under constraints. Articles and frameworks make the reasoning available for scrutiny. They establish different kinds of evidence.

When input costs left little room for margin, a reason to choose the product had to be supported by checks the business could actually perform.

When “lack of ownership” may be an authority problem

Two distinct roles

A public body of ideas. A company for applied work.

Paritsea

Parit’s public intellectual work: observations, ideas and governed frameworks with source, version and use boundaries.

SE Ocean

The company through which selected ideas and methods become organisational work, services, tools and systems. Applied work does not silently redefine the source or its permissions.

Professional context

Experience informs the questions. Evidence still has to support the answer.

Published work includes a constrained business intervention, evidence behind product claims and search-discovery work. SEO and marketing form part of the professional history; the current company addresses broader questions of structure, decisions and operating systems.
