← Commissionable work

The situation we can help hold and understand

“The decision remains mine, but I should not have to hold every layer of the complexity alone.”

This is a place to begin, not a conclusion made for you. We do not decide where the problem sits until the evidence supports it.

The work you are commissioning

Strategic Decision Advisory

Bounded external judgment around a defined consequential decision, with trade-offs, risks, decision records, review cadence, and an explicit exit point.

Participants
Decision owner and only the people necessary to hold the defined decision
Duration
Project advisory or 3-month minimum when continuity is required
Price
USD 3,000–6,000 per month
Stopping point
Stop when the decision domain closes, internal judgment is sufficient, or continuation no longer creates additional decision value.

This work is useful when

  • A defined high-consequence decision
  • Executive trade-offs crossing strategy, operations, people, or technology
  • A bounded need for recurring external judgment

This should not become a shortcut when

  • Vague founder support
  • Unlimited access or outsourced decision authority
  • A problem that still requires evidence-led diagnosis

What you will hold when the work ends

One coherent delivery package composed for the real problem.

You retain the final decision, but no longer have to hold its assumptions, trade-offs, risks, and follow-through alone or only in your head.

Primary delivery

Decision record for the defined advisory domain

The record follows the defined decision domain. It may contain different analyses or trackers as the situation changes, but it is not unlimited access or an open-ended report factory.

What it is
One continuously maintained record for the defined decision domain, bringing together the current decision, assumptions, trade-offs, risks, open questions, owners, and review conditions.
How to use it
Use it before approvals, between review sessions, and when explaining why a decision changed or remained unchanged.
What it changes
It gives the leader continuity and an inspectable decision trail without transferring ownership of the decision to the adviser.

We do not make the executive decision for you. We do complete the work to the agreed decision point, so you can see the options, consequences, risks, and remaining unknowns before choosing. Preserving client authority is not an excuse for incomplete delivery.

Components selected when needed

Nothing is included merely to make the report look complete.

We include only what explains the problem, supports the decision, or lets the team carry the agreed scope forward.

As required

Decision memo

What this component does
A concise record of the decision, assumptions, options, trade-offs, risks, unresolved questions, and recommended next move.
How to use it
Use it before approval, after a difficult discussion, or when explaining the decision and its conditions to other leaders.
What it changes
It makes the reasoning inspectable and prevents the decision from being remembered only as a conclusion.
As required

Decision and risk tracker

What this component does
A bounded record of open decisions, owners, dependencies, warning signals, and review dates.
How to use it
Use it to keep consequential choices from disappearing into meetings or being reopened without new evidence.
What it changes
It creates continuity without giving an external adviser ownership of the decision.
As required

Bounded review cadence

What this component does
Agreed review sessions and asynchronous questions limited to the defined decision domain and period.
How to use it
Use it when the decision evolves over time and new evidence or consequences need independent challenge.
What it changes
It gives the leader continuity of judgment without creating unlimited access or permanent dependency.
01

Information and access required

  • Defined decision domain
  • Named decision owner
  • Known constraints and trade-offs
  • Review cadence and exit point
02

What the work does not include

  • The client owns the final decision
  • The relationship is reviewed every 90 days
  • Continuation must improve internal judgment rather than dependency

The decision this work enables

Close, renew for a newly defined decision domain, or move to diagnostic or architecture only when the work itself requires it.

Later work is not automatically credited or opened. Every additional depth requires its own justification and boundary.
